This position is a key component of the Department of Homeland Security workforce, responsible for safeguarding the nation's borders and protecting American interests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enforce customs, immigration, and agriculture laws and regulations through inspections of individuals and conveyances.
- Facilitate legitimate trade and travel while preventing illegal entry into the United States.
- Determine admissibility of individuals for entry into the country based on federal laws and regulations.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. This role requires flexibility with regard to duty locations across various states including Arizona AZ; California CA; Hawaii HI; Maine ME; Michigan MI; Minnesota MN; Montana MT New York NY North Dakota ND Vermont VT Washington WA.
Applicants should demonstrate strong analytical abilities as well as resourcefulness when evaluating complex situations during their workday. A solid understanding of international relations customs procedures law enforcement methods negotiation techniques would also serve this job holder well.
