We are seeking a Customs and Border Protection Officer to join our team. As a CBPO, you will be responsible for enforcing customs, immigration, and agriculture laws and regulations.
Job Description
- Enforce the law to protect national security by preventing illegal entry of individuals and prohibited goods.
- Facilitate trade and travel while ensuring compliance with customs regulations.
- Detect contraband and apprehend violators using proper law enforcement methods.
Your day-to-day duties may include:
greater checks on travelers entering or departing from U.S. ports of entry;
handing over packages to an agency's Cargo Inspection Section;fishing out drugs in luggage or vehicles.
The most critical part is maintaining close ties with other agencies – namely the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) — so that together they can shield this country from these risks more effectively.
Policing entire areas such as sea borders would ensure even quicker arrival times at coastal locations due diligence puts them ahead always before disasters strike!!! This requires conducting investigations related activities gathering intel taking surveillance placing undercover operations doing forensics testing using clandestine methods going through x-ray inspection technologies operating probes hacking computer networks examining people’s interactions human behavior etc...
