We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Customs and Border Protection Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be physically fit, and have the ability to make rapid judgments in high-pressure situations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safeguard U.S. borders from illegal entry of individuals and prohibited goods.
- Enforce customs, immigration, and agriculture laws and regulations.
- Facilitate legitimate trade and travel while preventing smuggling activities.
Duty Locations:
The position offers opportunities for career advancement with promotions based on performance evaluations. Regular training programs ensure that officers remain up-to-date with relevant laws, procedures, and techniques.
Candidates must meet specific requirements including being U.S. citizens or nationals; having three years of residency within five years prior to application;
must not exceed 40th birthday at time of appointment unless exempt; pass background check; obtain necessary security clearances;
Prior law enforcement experience is advantageous but not required as comprehensive training is provided upon hiring.
