Über

We are looking for an experienced Shopify developer who can implement a very minimal Shopify store that will be integrated into a mobile application using a webview. The visual design of the shop will be provided in Figma and must be converted into a fully functional custom Shopify theme with high accuracy and performance. The shop itself is intentionally simple with only four product categories and a total of twelve products which are structurally identical so the overall workload is extremely small and straightforward.
User authentication will not be handled directly by Shopify but through an existing Laravel backend. When the shop is opened from within the mobile app a bearer token will be included in the URL and Shopify must communicate securely with the Laravel backend to retrieve the authenticated user information. Shopify itself will also receive a bearer token issued by the Laravel backend to ensure secure communication between systems.
When the shop is accessed outside of the mobile app in standalone mode the login and registration process must be handled through the Laravel backend endpoints in order to obtain the bearer token for the user before allowing access to authenticated shop features. All purchases and transactions will be processed through Shopify as usual however the purchase results must be transmitted to the Laravel backend so that the system can record which authenticated user purchased which product.
Products inside Shopify must use SKUs that correspond with the products stored in our Laravel backend. We will provide endpoints for registering new products and retrieving existing product records. The Laravel backend will not store extended product presentation data such as descriptions images or marketing content since those will remain inside Shopify. The SKU matching exists purely to connect transactions with users inside the backend.
The ideal candidate has strong experience with Shopify custom theme development secure API integrations Laravel based systems authentication workflows and mobile app webview environments. Clear communication reliability and the ability to deliver production ready code are essential for this role.
Contract duration of 1 to 3 months. with 30 hours per week.
