Your responsibility is to use your clinical training and experience to identify what truly matters in practice, review guidelines and primary literature, evaluate study quality and bias, and extract meaningful insights. You will help frame those insights in ways that are clinically accurate, relevant, and compelling.
You are not expected to write from scratch. Instead, you will work with large language models such as ChatGPT to generate drafts based on your direction. Your job is to ask the right questions, refine the framing, validate claims, review primary sources when needed, and ensure the final output is clinically sound and properly contextualized. The writing is AI-assisted, but the clinical reasoning and judgment must come from you.
Accuracy is critical. As a healthcare company, we cannot publish content that is misleading or superficial. You must be comfortable reviewing primary studies, assessing methodology, interpreting strength of evidence, and confirming that AI-generated drafts are factually correct and appropriately framed. If something appears questionable, you are expected to investigate and verify before it moves forward.
The content you contribute to may include:
- Evidence-based blog articles
- Study analysis video transcripts - short and long form content
- Video transcripts for patient journey narratives and other ideas we have as a team - mainly short form
- Educational scripts for patients and providers - short and long form content
- Text for social posts and image-based educational content
You will not create graphics, edit videos, or publish content. Our creative team handles production. Your role is focused on the clinical substance, accuracy, and narrative clarity of the material.
This is a startup environment. We move quickly and produce content at a fast pace. Turnaround times can be short. Deadlines are mutually agreed upon. However, once you commit to a timeline, reliability is essential. If you cannot meet a commitment, early communication is expected.
This is a part-time freelance role. On average, we expect approximately 10 hours per week, but this may vary. Some weeks may require more time, some less, and occasionally there may be no work in a given week.
Requirements and Qualifications
Degrees:
- Physicians: MBBS / MBChB / MBBCh / MD / DO (or international equivalent)
- Pharmacists: BPharm / MPharm / PharmD (or international equivalent)
- Nurses: BSc Nursing / BSN / BN / BNurs / MSc Nursing / MSN (must have completed degree)
Eligibility:
- Physicians and pharmacists may be final-year students, residents, postgraduate trainees, or graduated clinicians.
- Nurses must have completed their nursing degree (no current students).
- Direct exposure to patient care required (clinical rotations, internship, residency, or practice)
- Ability to critically evaluate primary literature, clinical trials, and guidelines
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to contextualize evidence in real practice
- Comfortable using AI tools such as ChatGPT to generate and refine drafts
- Able to independently validate AI-generated content against primary sources
- Reliable with deadlines and responsive in communication
Work Expectations and Policies
- These policies apply at all times, not only during the trial period
- You must use the Upwork time tracker for all hours worked
- We will begin with a paid trial to evaluate fit and workflow
- If we mutually decide it is not a good fit after the trial, which will be a blog we need, I will close the contract and leave a 5-star review
We are looking for someone who enjoys engaging deeply with evidence, thinking beyond surface-level summaries, and taking responsibility for the clinical integrity of the content we publish.
Contract duration of 1 to 3 months. with 30 hours per week.
