Reports to: Senior Manager – Project manager

Responsibilities:

Commercialization Project Manager will be responsible for the planning and execution of all elements of Ya YA Foods' product lifecycle management, including product launches, recipe and packaging changes, and product discontinuations.

  • Lead end-to-end project management delivery, coordinating with customers and with teams cross-functionally at Ya YA -including Operations, Quality, Sourcing, and Planning.
  • Establish and define project scope, planning, implementation, and delivery of projects to meet client and facility requirements. 
  • Facilitate regular project meetings with customers, internal stakeholders, and senior management to provide status updates, manage expectations, and drive alignment. 
  • Oversee system setup and data integrity for onboarding new customers and vendors, including bill of materials (BOM), finished goods, and product specifications; ensure alignment with Quality documentation and ERP system accuracy.
  • Take ownership of projects, goes beyond assigned tasks, and actively seeks opportunities to improve outcomes.
  • Manage trial and launch readiness, overseeing the pre- and post-approval process for new product trials to ensure all documentation, procedures, and outputs are accurate and scalable for ongoing production.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate project risks by analyzing challenges and implementing sustainable solutions.
  • Own project success by proactively identifying risks, analyzing challenges, and leading cross-functional teams to develop sustainable, long-term solutions.

Profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Project Management, Economics, Engineering, or related field.
  • 2-4 years' experience within project management, consumer goods, manufacturing, marketing, engineering, or other relevant industries
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and influence and present ideas clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • High attention to detail, with a strong focus on accuracy, quality, and process consistency. Comfortable working in fast-paced, dynamic environments where agility and proactive problem-solving are key.
  • Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills and accountability; able to work independently, think proactively, and make sound decisions without constant supervision.
  • Thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments and meets deadlines consistently.
  • Familiarity with product development or manufacturing processes is a plus.
  • Proficient in Asana, Microsoft Project, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • NB: Successful candidates will be required to provide photo ID, banking details, a valid SIN number, and (if applicable) a valid work permit
