Shift: Monday to Friday

Reporting to the Accounts Payable Team Lead, the Accounts Payable Clerk is part of KAG's accounting group at our Edmonton Head Office. Our work environment is fast-paced and we're often challenged with tight deadlines. This is a great opportunity for a process-orientated Accounting Clerk to take on a diverse and exciting role.

About the position:

• Ensuring required backup is included with the invoice (PO, accurate coding, and authorization)
• Batching and entering all vendor invoices into the Accounts Payable system
• Preparing and performing cheque runs, EFT uploads, and bill payments
• Verifying vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements to related transactions
• Responding to vendor inquiries; investigate and resolve any discrepancies
• Assisting with month-end closing procedures
• Administering other duties as required

What you bring:

• Well organized, detail-oriented, with a roll up your sleeves attitude towards work
• Above average proficiency in Excel and excellent data entry speed
• Knowledge of the transportation industry is considered an asset
• Knowledge of Great Plains accounting software is considered an asset
