Job Description

What is the opportunity?     

The Senior Manager will lead the execution of operational risk assessment programs across Chief Legal & Administrative Officer (CLAO) Group to ensure efficient and effective implementation of Operational Risk Management (ORM) programs. 

The role will not only give you exposure to a variety of operational risk elements, broadening and diversifying your toolkit but also will allow you to build and shape the CLAO Operational Risk Management program as the function continues to mature. Through networking and collaboration, you will be exposed to several different functional groups (Corporate Real Estate, Enterprise Chief Operating Office, Global Procurement, Chief Data Office, Enterprise Strategy & Transformation, Corporate Venture Capital and Corporate Development, Law Group and Global Compliance)

What will you do?     

  • Lead the execution of operational risk assessment programs across the CLAO group including identification of key risks and their mitigating controls, to assess control adequacy through Risk and Control Self-Assessments, Change Management Risk Assessments, Operational Risk Events Key Risk Indicator development and Issues and Actions Management.

  • Support operational risk management leadership across the CLAO group including providing reporting expertise enhancing senior management's ability to anticipate and manage operational risks effectively.

  • Maintain an operational risk management reporting framework for the CLAO group that enables robust analysis and highlights key risk areas, themes, areas of concern and focus for monitoring.

  • Responsible for tracking, monitoring and reporting of operational risk management issues, and related action plans for CLAO.

  • Engage with business units, compliance, and audit teams to identify risks across key businesses.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have   

  • Strong knowledge of leading operational risk practices

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Business maturity level and skill/judgment to be able to deal effectively with leadership team members within CLAO as well as enterprise-wide as required

  • Strong presentation and communication (verbal and written) skills

  • 5+ Years Operational Risk experience with Policy responsibilities

  • Excellent judgment and analytical skills

Nice-to-have    

  • Familiarity with one or more of the following fields: corporate real estate management, procurement, consulting service operations, legal & compliance, data strategy and/or project execution

  • 5+ years' experience in financial services sector

  • Sound knowledge of project management practices
