This opportunity in Aon's Toronto office will allow you to bring your analytical outlook to a team focused on winning together.

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada. This role is not eligible for sponsorship, and we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa or work permit.

The salary range for this position is $56,600 - $75,400. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.

What the day will look like

New Business Implementation & Support, in conjunction with National Sales;

  • Participating in National and Regional working group calls with National Sales Operations and other New Business Analysts
  • Collaborate with Regional Leaders to identify the appropriate new business initiatives to activate in the local office, primarily Account Executives and Sales Teams.
  • Work with sales teams to develop prospect identification and client penetration strategies.
  • Develop and distribute revenue, client acquisition activity, and benchmark reports (e.g., Local Market Analytics) that provide regional and local leadership with the supportive analytics need to implement strategic goals.
  • Research prospects and clients, using analyst reports, D&B reports, Yahoo Finance, and related sources of information, to identify prospect- and client-specific risk profile information.
  • Identify ideal prospects and clients and work with local offices to populate Aon Connect ("AC")
  • Assist in coordinating annual business planning and goal allocation process with local office leadership and National Sales Effectiveness team.

New Business Revenue Tracking & Measuring, in conjunction with National Sales;

  • Build and deliver consistent pipeline and financial reporting.
  • Prepare revenue and pipeline composition analytics for office sales meetings.
  • Build and maintain the pipeline composition reporting functionalities that reflect forecasted and recognized sales revenue.
  • Provide revenue analyses to include valuation of individual and office performance to goal and office sales.
Aon Connect Management and Administration
  • Serve as the office AC expert for support of AC users, including:
  • AC training and licensing of new producer and AE hires and ongoing training of the Sales Team including training on Client Promise and Jeopardy reporting in AC as needed.
  • Coordinate with AC leadership on AC enhancement requests and functional issues.
  • Participate in AC national support team.
How this opportunity is different

The New Business Analyst ("NBA") will work primarily with Canada Commercial Risk and Health Sales to operationalize a growth strategy and measure new business activities in Canada Commercial Risk and Health office(s). The NBA's directive is to implement a process and drive a strategy. This contributes to measurable growth across all Aon Solution Lines. The focus is on Commercial Risk and Health Solutions.

Skills and experience that will lead to success.

  • Corporate experience is preferred.
  • Qualifications include a bachelor's degree in business or a related major, or equivalent experience.
  • Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PPT, Word, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management Systems (CRM) and marketing automation systems (i.e. Eloqua)
  • Power BI experience is an asset.
  • Enthusiastic self-starter who can juggle multiple projects, follow-up and exhibit creative problem solving – delivering projects and assignments on target and on time within a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong ability to work closely with various cross functional groups, specifically with the Regional Leaders / Market Leaders / Branch Leadership, Producers and Account Executives in the office, as well as with Industry/Practice Leaders and National Sales
  • An individual who solves problems by bringing innovative ideas, fresh opinions, and a wealth of passion
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, and relationship skills
  • Methodical person who can provide a clear, complete analysis that supports sales efforts, resulting in revenue win for the company.
