About the Role:
As an Endodontist, you will specialize in diagnosing and treating diseases and injuries of the dental pulp and surrounding tissues, primarily focusing on root canal therapy and other endodontic procedures. Your expertise will be critical in preserving natural teeth and alleviating pain caused by dental trauma or infection. This role demands precision, advanced clinical skills, and a compassionate approach to patient care to ensure successful outcomes. Ultimately, your work will contribute significantly to improving patients' quality of life by maintaining their natural dentition and oral health.
Minimum Qualifications:
Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited dental school.
Completion of an accredited endodontic residency program.
Valid state (TN) dental license to practice in the United States.
Certification or eligibility for certification by the American Board of Endodontics.
Strong knowledge of dental anatomy, pathology, and endodontic treatment protocols.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with advanced imaging technologies such as CBCT (Cone Beam Computed Tomography).
Familiarity with prosthodontics, cosmetic dentistry, orthodontics, and restorative dentistry to support interdisciplinary care.
Previous experience working in a multidisciplinary dental practice or academic setting.
Continuing education in the latest endodontic techniques and materials.
Excellent communication skills for patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Responsibilities:
Perform detailed clinical examinations and diagnostic procedures to assess endodontic conditions.
Conduct root canal treatments, endodontic surgeries, and retreatments with high precision and care.
Collaborate with dental teams to create and implement individualized treatment plans.
Educate patients on endodontic procedures, post-treatment care, and preventive oral health practices.
Maintain accurate patient records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and follow-up care documentation.
