We are seeking a meticulous and organized Shipping Clerk to join our dedicated logistics team in Sacramento, California. As a Shipping Clerk, you will be instrumental in managing the outbound flow of goods, ensuring all shipments are accurately documented, packaged, and dispatched. Responsibilities:
- Process shipping orders accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare shipping labels, manifests, and other required documentation.
- Package outgoing orders, ensuring they are secure and protected for transit.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers for timely pickups and deliveries.
- Track shipments and provide updates to relevant parties.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and inventory logs.
- Conduct quality checks on outgoing packages.
- Adhere to all Safety guidelines and company policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Operate shipping equipment such as scales and printers.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and external partners regarding logistics.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a related logistics role is highly preferred.
- Proficiency with shipping software and computer systems.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Ability to handle occasional Lifting of up to 30 lbs.
- Understanding of shipping carrier requirements.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and proper use of PPE.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
