• Maintain surveillance along international borders and coastal waterways using various government assets such as vehicles, boats, and aircraft;


• Detect and question individuals suspected of violating immigration laws;


• Analyze information rapidly to make prompt decisions regarding arrests or other law enforcement actions;


• Patrol assigned areas to detect evidence of illegal entry into the country.
