A Customs Protection Specialist plays a vital role in enforcing customs, immigration, and agriculture laws. They facilitate legitimate trade and travel while preventing illegal activities such as smuggling contraband goods into the United States.

• Enforcing customs regulations by inspecting individuals
  & conveyances,


• Determining admissibility of individuals for entry,
  & preventing unauthorized entries,


• Facilitating trade through cargo inspections,
  humanitarian relief operations,
  maintenance support services,
  group movements (e.g., vessels,
  aircraft),
  cargo escorts/protective measures/>,notably drugs illegally carried into country.
