About the Project
A small entrepreneur from Italy, planning to relocate to Paraguay by end 2026/January 2027. Currently working on the business plan for Paraguay, which will be integrating few synergic activities in the same project, with the focus on the agricultural hi-tech services sector, particularly solutions for monitoring, data collection, certification processes, and data analysis for insurers and investors.
Objective is to leverage our European and Latin American network after the new agreement between EU and Mercosur.
Role Overview
Seeking for a reliable bilingual (Spanish–English) V.A., based in Paraguay, to support research, networking, and operational preparation over the coming months.
This role will begin as freelance/intermittent and may evolve – if on any interest - into long-term cooperation as I set up an office in Asunción.
Fluent spoken English and excellent written English are fundamental requirements, in addition to native or near-native Spanish.
Key Responsibilities
Research & Reporting
• Conduct local market research (agriculture, agri-tech, certification, insurance-related services, associations, etc)
• Prepare structured reports and summaries
• Gather regulatory and sector-specific information according to instructions
Networking & Business Development Support
• Contact local associations, chambers, and relevant institutions
• Identify and collect contacts for suppliers and potential clients
• Initiate first-level outreach when required
• Build organized contact databases
Meeting & Trip Coordination
• Organize meetings for my business trips to Paraguay (August/September and November)
• Coordinate agendas, logistics, and confirmations
• Prepare briefing documents before meetings if and when requested
General VA Support
• Administrative support
• Local information gathering (services, providers, setup in view of the relocation)
• Support with documentation coordination when needed
• Ongoing assistance to prepare for business establishment in 2027
Work Structure
The workload will be flexible and intermittent in the next few months. Some periods will be lighter, while others (especially toward the end of the year) may require more structured deadlines as relocation approaches. I am generally very flexible with timelines, especially during early phases.
Ideal Candidate
• Based in Paraguay (mandatory)
• Fluent Spanish (spoken and written)
• Fluent English with strong writing skills (mandatory)
• Organized and proactive
• Comfortable making phone calls and professional outreach
• Interested in long-term collaboration
