We are seeking a communications professional with nonprofit/NGO experience to support fundraising and engagement campaigns for a mission-driven organization serving youth and families. This role will focus on strategy, messaging, and campaign execution — helping translate programs and impact into clear communications that drive participation and support.
This is a part-time contract role (hourly) with the potential to grow into a longer-term position as organizational needs evolve.
Key Responsibilities
Campaign Support
Help plan and execute fundraising campaigns (digital and event-based)
Assist in building messaging frameworks and timelines
Draft donor appeals, campaign emails, and engagement content
Support recurring giving and individual donor initiatives
Communications
Write newsletters, announcements, and impact updates
Assist with social media planning tied to campaigns
Shape stories that communicate program impact clearly and authentically
Strategy
Provide recommendations on engagement and outreach strategy
Help improve participation and conversion in campaigns
Collaborate with leadership on messaging for partners and funders
Required Experience (Must Have)
Prior experience working in a nonprofit or NGO environment
Experience supporting fundraising or awareness campaigns
Strong writing and storytelling ability
Understanding of donor communications and audience engagement
Ability to organize projects and meet timelines independently
Preferred
Email marketing platform experience (Mailchimp, Constant Contact, etc.)
Basic Canva/design skills
Familiarity with CRM/donor databases
Ideal Fit
Someone who understands that nonprofit communications are about relationships and trust — not just marketing — and can help turn mission and impact into meaningful engagement.
Contract duration of more than 6 months. with 40 hours per week.
