Position Summary
We are looking for professional and safety-oriented Class 5 Owner Operator Truck Driver. Primary role is to operate a straight truck with a capacity of up to 5 tons to transport a variety of goods and materials. Responsibilities include safely loading and unloading cargo, securing loads for transportation, and planning efficient delivery routes.
Location: Surrey, BC
Schedule: Monday – Friday
Start Time-5:00 AM (could vary)
Covering Greater Vancouver area
Open for hand bombing and load securement
Ensure customer delivery is met in a timely, safe and professional manner
Reliable, Flexible, punctual and safe driving behaviors
What You Will Do
Operates vehicle safely and responsibly, adhering to all DOT and company safety regulations.
Conducts routine inspections prior to departure to ensure the vehicle is in optimal condition.
Manages appropriate cargo documentation and provides necessary paperwork upon the delivery of goods.
Coordinates the loading and unloading of the truck, verifying cargo and ensuring items are properly stored and secured.
Maintains contact with dispatcher to provide status updates, clarify special instructions, and notify about delays or issues during transport.
What You'll Bring
Valid Class 5 License is required
Clean 5 years Commercial driving abstract
Delivering refrigerated goods
Comfortable with smartphone technology
Must have a reefer truck with Tailgate and own insurance
Comfortable backing in all manner of tight spaces and locations
Must be bondable and legally able to work in Canada
