Some Details About The Customer Service Associate Role
As an integral part of the front line team, the Customer Service Associates ensure the flow of customer pickups and returns remain smooth. Applicants must be comfortable following established appointment policies, refund parameters and ensuring that the flow of traffic remains smooth, despite pressures from customers who do not follow the pick up process. This role would be well suited for applicants who like to work in a fast pace environment-they must be experienced working in a Customer Service position and have a keen ability to successfully resolve customer conflict at the return desk.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Customer Service Associate, you'll play a key role in ensuring a smooth and enjoyable customer experience:
Greeting customers and creating a welcoming visit to Encore
Assisting with auction inquiries, invoice payment, and returns
Processing payments (cash, debit, credit) with accuracy
Handling customer concerns with empathy, professionalism, and confidence
Following company policies and procedures while maintaining fairness and consistency
Balancing your register at the end of your shift
What We're Looking For
Previous customer service experience (retail, hospitality, or similar) is a must
Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills
Ability to stay positive and focused in a busy environment
A team player with a "customer-first" mindset
Someone who thrives in fast-paced, energetic settings
Candidates who understand how service outcome impact the business

What will you need to be successful in this role:
Common sense, consistent attendance, reliability and level of maturity that will commit to their role
Be ready to work and be ready to give it your all- we move fast at Encore so the employees have to as well
Ability to meet performance benchmarks
Strong communication skills
Ability to read and speak English , are comfortable communicating with customers in English
Great organizational and time management skills
You have a keen eye and notice the details
Ability to work Tuesday to Saturday, 9:45 to 6:15 pm
Working with little supervision you are a self-starter and like to stay busy
This role starts at CS Level 1- $17.60 per hour.
After three months of continuous employment, you will be eligible to enroll with our Group Benefit plan through Manulife- we offer Single or Family coverage with Dental and Vision care included and the employer pays 50% of your premiums.
