We are seeking a highly skilled *Computer Network Architect* to design, implement, and manage complex network systems that support organizational IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in *network architecture*, *network security*, and *cloud integration* with a strong understanding of *WAN*, *LAN*, and *IP networking* protocols. This role involves developing scalable, secure, and efficient network solutions to meet current and future business needs, ensuring optimal performance and security across all network platforms.
*Duties*
* Design and develop comprehensive *network architectures* including *WAN*, *LAN*, *MPLS*, and *SDLC* frameworks.
* Implement and configure advanced *firewalls* (e.g., *Cisco ASA*, *Juniper*) and *VPNs* (e.g., *IPsec*, *SSL VPN*) to secure organizational data.
* Manage and optimize *network protocols* such as *TCP/IP*, *OSPF*, *EIGRP*, *BGP*, and *DNS* to ensure reliable connectivity.
* Oversee the deployment of network hardware including routers (*Cisco routers*, *Juniper devices*) and switches, ensuring proper installation and integration within existing infrastructure.
* Monitor network performance using tools like *Meraki*, *Network management systems*, and conduct regular security assessments to identify vulnerabilities.
* Collaborate with IT teams on system design, virtualization (*VMware*, *Azure*, *AWS*), and automation initiatives utilizing scripting languages like *Python* and *Scripting* for network management tasks.
* Develop disaster recovery plans, implement load balancing solutions, and ensure high availability through redundancy strategies.
* Stay current with emerging technologies such as *DevOps*, *CI/CD pipelines*, and cloud services to enhance network capabilities.
* Lead efforts in network documentation, policy development, and compliance with industry standards for information security.
*Skills*
* Extensive knowledge of computer networking concepts including routing protocols (*OSPF*, *EIGRP*, *BGP*), network protocols (*TCP/IP*, *DHCP*, *DNS*), and IP networking fundamentals.
* Proficiency with network hardware such as Cisco switches/routers, Juniper devices, Meraki solutions, and firewall configurations (*Cisco ISE*, *Cisco ASA*).
* Experience with virtualization platforms (*VMware*, *Azure*) and cloud services (*AWS*) for scalable infrastructure deployment.
* Strong understanding of network security principles including firewalls, VPNs (*IPsec*), intrusion detection/prevention systems, and information security best practices.
* Familiarity with scripting languages (*Python*, Bash), automation tools, and API integrations for network management automation.
* Knowledge of operating systems (*Windows*, *Linux/Unix*) for system design, management, and troubleshooting.
* Ability to develop scalable system designs using modern methodologies such as Agile, DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, ensuring efficient system development lifecycle (SDLC).
* Excellent problem-solving skills combined with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical teams and stakeholders. Job Type: Contract
Pay: $95,087.13 - $114,513.52 per year
