• Enforce laws related to importing, exporting, and international shipping.
• Detect potential threats and conduct risk assessments for violations of laws and national security threats.

To excel in this role, you'll require strong decision-making skills and ability to apply regulations accurately. A combination of experience or education is also beneficial in meeting these demands.
The required qualifications include:
prior law enforcement experience equivalent to at least GS-7 level,
or an appropriate graduate-level education that demonstrates your understanding of relevant topics such as import/export regulation or federal law enforcement practices.
having a Master's degree from an accredited institution may substitute some prior work experience,
or completing higher-level coursework demonstrating knowledge similar to those found within U.S Customs Law textbooks can demonstrate relevance towards becoming eligible candidate).
