We are seeking a visionary Event Designer who can lead the creative direction of our weddings and ensure every celebration is distinctive, trend-forward, and aligned with our luxury brand.
Position Overview:
The Event Designer will conceptualize and develop unique, design-driven wedding experiences from initial inspiration through on-site execution. This role requires a strong creative eye, deep knowledge of current luxury wedding trends, and the ability to transform client visions into refined, elevated concepts.
We are looking for someone innovative and forward-thinking — a designer who continuously introduces fresh ideas and avoids repetitive aesthetics, ensuring each Destawed wedding feels exclusive and unforgettable.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop full wedding design concepts including themes, color palettes, textures, lighting direction, and overall aesthetic vision.
Create professional mood boards, renderings, and design presentations for clients.
Translate client inspiration into elevated, cohesive design plans.
Ensure every wedding is visually impactful, editorial-worthy, and aligned with luxury standards.
Stay ahead of global wedding, fashion, and luxury hospitality trends.
Collaborate closely with planners, florists, rental vendors, production teams, and venues.
Oversee design installation and styling on-site to ensure flawless execution.
Continuously contribute innovative ideas that elevate Destawed's brand identity.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Proven experience in luxury event or wedding design.
Strong portfolio showcasing diverse and unique design concepts.
Advanced understanding of color theory, spatial planning, textures, florals, lighting, and decor composition.
Proficiency in event design and creative software such as: Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), SketchUp or other 3D rendering software, Social Tables, Allseated, or similar floor planning tools
Ability to create professional renderings, floor plans, and visual mockups.
Strong trend awareness within the luxury wedding and travel industry.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability to travel for destination weddings in Mexico and the Caribbean.
