Roles and Responsibilities
We are looking for a detail oriented QA tester to thoroughly review and test a web-based SaaS dashboard.
Overview:
Do a structured and comprehensive end to end UI/UX analysis of the user-facing features by focusing on validating functionality, workflows and UX integrity. Strategize and execute a QA testing plan and create a structured detail-oriented report for the developers. Cross checking user facing elements with backend programming is strongly preferred. Understanding of backend programming is crucial as the right candidate will be able to do a technical audit in the later stages as well.
Responsibilities:
1. Create and execute structured test plans for user-facing features
2. Test workflows, edge cases, regressions, and cross-platform behavior
3. Document defects clearly with impact and reproduction steps:
It is extremely important that every issue identified during testing is documented clearly and thoroughly. Each bug or inconsistency must include detailed written steps explaining exactly how the issue occurred, what was expected to happen, and what actually happened instead.
In addition, screenshots (or short screen recordings when necessary) are mandatory for every issue reported. Visual evidence is critical so that developers can quickly understand and reproduce the problem without confusion.
The more descriptive and organized the report is, the more efficient and accurate the development phase will be. All findings will later be consolidated into a structured spreadsheet, so clarity and consistency in documentation are essential.
This is not just about identifying problems, it is about documenting them in a way that allows them to be fixed properly and efficiently.
Summary
At end of each test cycle, QA submits:
Total bugs found ;Breakdown by severity; Top recurring issue category; Stability summary; Priority (High, Medium, Low)
4. Flag inconsistencies between UX expectations and system behavior
5. Support release readiness decisions
Strongly Preferred (Not Required for This Phase)
1. Ability to understand backend logic, APIs, and data flows
2. Capacity to identify structural improvement areas
3. Contribute to high-level effort/complexity estimates
Ideal Candidate:
Can demonstrate a structured thought process
Contract duration of 1 to 3 months.
Mandatory skills: Software QA, Automated Testing
Optional skills: Functional Testing, Web Testing
