Job Description:
I'm looking for an experienced WordPress developer to help diagnose and fix a few technical and security-related issues on my site.
Issue #1: Intermittent Site Timeout
Sometimes when visiting the homepage, I get this error:
"This site can't be reached
took too long to respond
ERR_TIMED_OUT"
The page usually loads a few seconds later. I need someone to:
- Diagnose the root cause (hosting, DNS, caching, firewall, etc.)
- Fix the timeout issue
- Ensure the site loads consistently
Issue #2: Wordfence Critical Plugin Warning
Wordfence is reporting a critical issue:
Ace IDE plugin has been removed from but is still installed.
Need to:
- Check if it's being used
- Safely remove or replace it
- Ensure nothing breaks
Issue #3: Removed Child Theme
Wordfence is also reporting:
A child theme that was removed from is still installed.
Need to:
- Confirm if it's active or required
- Repair, replace, or remove it safely
- Keep the site design intact
Scope
1. First make a complete backup of the site
2. Diagnose all issues
3. Fix or replace problematic plugins/themes
4. Ensure site stability and security
5. Provide a short summary of work completed
Requirements
- Strong WordPress troubleshooting experience
- Familiar with Wordfence and site performance issues
- Able to work carefully on a live site
Contract duration of less than 1 month.
Mandatory skills: WordPress, PHP, JavaScript, Web Development, HTML, WordPress Plugin
