Summary
OPTEL is seeking a Field Marketing Manager capable of leading high-impact global marketing initiatives. This individual will play a key role in planning, executing, and optimizing our field marketing activities, including international tradeshows, webinars, and client and partner events.
The Field Marketing Manager is responsible for designing a cohesive, results-driven event strategy, with full ownership from pre-event demand generation to post-event ROI analysis. This person will also manage projects related to customer experience, partnership activation, and field marketing campaigns.
This role requires a highly autonomous profile with a strong sense of ownership, able to structure plans and execute with rigor while bringing creativity and innovation.
Key Responsibilities

Field Marketing Strategy

  • In collaboration with Business Unit Marketing Managers, define and execute an annual field marketing strategy aligned with commercial objectives.
  • Ensure a comprehensive event vision: pre-show planning, on-site presence, marketing activation, demand generation, and post-show follow-up.
  • Identify high-impact event opportunities worldwide and recommend where OPTEL should invest (market watch, benchmarking, ROI analysis).
  • Develop comprehensive event plans including objectives, budgets, target audiences, key messaging, and conversion strategy.
  • Collaborate with Business Unit Marketing Managers on special marketing projects.
  • Organize client events and activate selected marketing partnerships.

Global Tradeshow Management

Lead the full organization of major events (international tradeshows), including:

  • Space booking, vendor coordination, transportation, logistics, and booth setup/tear-down;
  • Booth management, design, branding, promotional materials, and demos;
  • Coordination with internal teams (Sales, Product, Marketing, Partners);
  • Design and execution of on-site activations: marketing stunts, announcements, demonstrations, interactive experiences;
  • Coordination of joint initiatives with partners (shared booths, combined demos, co-branded campaigns, private events);
  • Ensuring each event tells a strong and cohesive story;
  • Managing event budgets with rigor and efficiency;
  • Producing post-event reports and continuous improvement recommendations.

Demand Generation & Pre/Post-Event Campaigns

Develop and execute multichannel campaigns to maximize participation:
  • Invitations, email marketing, LinkedIn campaigns, partner campaigns;
  • Activation of SDRs and Account Managers for meeting bookings;
  • Define post-event follow-up plans: outreach, conversion campaigns, reusable content strategy;
  • Track KPIs and measure performance, including:
    • Leads generated, meetings booked, pipeline influence, ROI, participation, engagement.

Additional Marketing Activations

  • Organize webinars and virtual events aligned with Business Unit marketing priorities;
  • Design and coordinate private client events;
  • Lead projects aimed at enhancing customer experience;
  • Optimize showroom and solution demos to support Marketing and Sales.
Required Skills
  • Relevant experience in field marketing and/or event marketing;
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong organizational skills;
  • Experience in demand generation;
  • Strong sense of ownership: able to take full responsibility and deliver without constant supervision;
  • Creative and solution-oriented mindset: able to propose original ideas and differentiated activations;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills: strong collaboration with internal teams, partners, and vendors;
  • Curiosity and eagerness to learn, especially regarding new technologies such as artificial intelligence.
