This is a multidisciplinary team with expertise in Utilities, Electrical, Drainage, Roadways and Highways, Civil, and Rail and Transit. In this role, you will serve as a Project Coordinator on ports, marine and transportation infrastructure projects.
As a Project Coordinator in our growing team, primary responsibilities will be the coordination of engineering tasks for large-scale ports and marine projects. Additionally, you are expected to foster enthusiasm and a client-focused approach and lead business development activities, including proposal coordination and writing.
Role accountabilities:
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and managing project schedules, budgets, and risks to ensure successful project delivery. You will manage project scope by identifying missed or out-of-scope activities and assisting in the preparation of cost estimates to support project change orders. Ensuring adherence to project plans, including project management, schedule, and communication plans, will be a key part of your responsibilities.
You will assist in coordinating, managing, monitoring, and reporting project milestones while integrating and collaborating with various disciplines to complete project tasks. This will involve liaising with extensive teams of consultants and contractors to ensure smooth project execution. Additionally, you will develop and maintain logs, registers, and other tracking tables to keep project information organized and up to date.
Maintaining project documentation will also be a critical aspect of your role. You will work closely with document control to assist disciplines with document submissions, including quality checks, and maintain both electronic and hard copy project libraries. Supporting project managers and team members by facilitating project logistics such as meetings, conference rooms, and calls will further contribute to effective project coordination.
You will prepare project updates for the project manager and clients, including presentations, status reports, and risk and action registers as needed. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong project management skills and excellent communication abilities—both verbal and written—while working independently and collaboratively. A high level of motivation, enthusiasm, analytical thinking, decision-making skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office will be essential to excel in this role.
