Landscape Construction Crew Leader

The Position

We are currently looking for an experienced Landscape Construction Crew Leader to join our growing team Enjoy working outdoors with a great group of coworkers, learning new landscaping skills, and are interested in joining a company that helps employees become the best versions of themselves and grows their careers in landscaping? The successful applicant will be responsible for leading a small crew, displaying our company values in their work, and responsible for all areas of landscape construction, including natural stone installation, interlock, carpentry and planting.  This job will provide an opportunity to grow in your career and the opportunity to participate in the overall growth of the company's construction landscaping division. In winter months, we switch to Snow Removal, so there is year round work opportunities to continue to serve our community and provide leadership during and after snow events. This is for a new vacancy and we anticipate that this role will begin in the early spring.

What a typical day looks like...

• Drive company truck and trailer to assigned job site and transport equipment and crew safely
• Lead a crew of 2-4 people, ensuring they are working safely, wearing proper PPE, and staying on task
• Read scaled drawings
• Operate equipment including skid steers, mini excavators, loaders, stone saws, etc.
• Maintain communication with Operations Manager on a daily basis to ensure vision and satisfaction are met and to discuss any changes
• Send client an update on job progress after everyday and communicate what they should expect to be completed the following day
• Complete daily timesheets for yourself and your crew
  

Our Expectations:

• 5+ years of experience as a Landscape Construction Crew Leader and mentoring other employees preferred
  
• Physically fit and able to fulfill job requirements

• Able to communicate with customers in a polite and courteous manner
• Detail oriented, hard working, and punctual 
• Previous experience driving a truck with a trailer
• G Class drivers license and a clean driver's abstract required
• Proper safe operation techniques of all landscape construction equipment (skid steers, mini excavators, loaders, stone saws etc.)
• Work in accordance with all local health and safety laws and regulations at the shop and on jobsites
