Quality Technician

POSITION DETAILS

The Quality Technician (Evening Shift) provides hands-on quality control support during night operations by performing inspections, monitoring manufacturing processes, identifying non-conformances, and ensuring products meet engineering, customer, and quality standards. The role ensures quality discipline, documentation accuracy, and timely escalation of issues during off-shift production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform the first-off, in-process and final inspections on architectural components to verify compliance with drawings and specifications
• Monitor manufacturing processes during night shift to identify quality deviations, defects, and non-conforming conditions
• Log and report non-conforming products (NCRs) and escalate quality issues as required
• Collect, record, and maintain quality and production data 
• Ensure accurate completion of inspection checklists, quality logs, and shift quality reports
• Verify implementation of quality procedures and SOPs during night operations
• Coordinate with night-shift production supervisors and operators to address quality issues in real time
• Support root-cause analysis and corrective actions by providing inspection data and observations
• Support smooth handover of quality information to day-shift quality and production team

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Diploma or technical training in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, Quality, or other engineering fields
• Familiarity with QC procedures, inspection methods, dimensional verification, and documentation
• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
• Effective communication skills for shift handover and issue escalation
• Ability to work independently during night shift operations
• Experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment will be an asset (architectural components preferred)

VACANCY STATUS AND LOCATION

The vacancy is a new position at Maxxit Systems Inc.

The role will require 5 days per week on site at the Toronto office location at 1000 Martin Grove Rd, Toronto, ON M9W 4V8

COMPENSATION

The compensation for this position ranges from $ $26.00 per hour, based on a 42.50 hour work week.
