The Senior Engineer, Equipment Program is responsible for all aspects of ISO and GMP manufacturing facility operations and maintenance program. The position will support the equipment management program and the equipment qualification program, act as a building and equipment maintenance resource interacting with all departments and vendors to create a positive and effective attitude towards equipment maintenance, validation and compliance.
This position reports to the Senior Manager, Facilities and is part of the Facilities Group within Operations Department located at 1055 Vernon Drive, Vancouver and will be an on-site role.
What you will do:
- Managing the Equipment Program by resolving equipment issues, ensuring proper quality documentation, developing and executing equipment qualification protocols for manufacturing, process equipment and facilities/utilities supporting these operations.
- Working with broad teams including Facilities, Information Technology, Instrumentation production, Quality, Quality Control, Process Development and Research.
- Utilizing engineering design and maintenance strategies, as well as developing a training plan to ensure that the relevant competencies are present and able to handle audit and inspection presentations.
- Maintaining an up-to-date understanding of compliance and validation and other regulatory issues that may impact the Company, working proactively to maintain the highest level of compliance in all areas. Cross training within the team to rapidly expand skill set.
- Managing state-of-the-art building, maintenance and monitoring systems
Who you are:
- Engineering degree, or mechanical/ electrical diploma with maintenance experience
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role
- Ability to analyze pharmaceutical processes to determine critical parameters and critical quality attributes and design testing.
- Key SME for maintenance, calibration, commissioning, qualification, and managing scientific equipment and devices.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Contribute to an on-call rotation for critical equipment issues.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Project Management education and experience
- Instrumentation and automation experience
- Experience qualifying/validating laboratory equipment and using sophisticated validation tools

The annual salary range for this role is $101, ,600.00 CAD. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
