Position Overview:
Trillium Health Partners is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join its Capital Planning and Redevelopment portfolio. Reporting to the Director, Construction (Q-Site), the Senior Project Manager will be responsible for supporting the Trillium Healthworks Project at Q-Site, known as The Future Home of The Gilgan Family Queensway Health Centre. This role will use knowledge and understanding of the business environment to work collaboratively with all members of the team, executive leadership, finance, Project Company, Ministry of Health and Infrastructure Ontario to report on progress, monitor payments, plan, implement and monitor progress.
Q Site project is a new Post Acute hospital, delivered under the Build Finance (BF) model in partnership with the Ministry of Health (MOH) and Infrastructure Ontario (IO).
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will act as the hospital's representative key point of contact between the hospital Q-Site project team and the Project Company, Infrastructure Ontario and Ministry of Health
Lead quality control and assurance reviews of hospital/Contracting Authority prepared documentation (Variations (using Infrastructure Ontario's Kahua)/ RFI's / SRFI's) and processes
Manage and coordinate with other agencies having jurisdiction, including but not limited to the hospital operations, third parties, Ministry of Health and Infrastructure Ontario
Contribute to review and analysis of construction schedule, variations and consultants' reports
Advocates for the application of best practice throughout all aspects of the project
Build trusted relationships with the project team and key internal/external stakeholders to advance key initiatives
Strong ability to summarize issues and escalate to Director
Preparation, management and oversight of all items requiring HealthWorks Governance approvals (Briefing Notes, User Change request, Variation Pipeline / discretionary and non-discretionary Variation updates, etc.)
Resource and management of PA governance Committee's and coordination with THW Governance. Preparation of agenda, record meeting minutes for Works Committee and follow-up on action items.
Preparation and coordination with Capital Development project team of regular project reporting (budget, schedule and risk) to various committees.
Coordination with the Finance team to review, monitor and forecast budget
Management of legal counsel engagement; (transaction/Project Agreement (PA) closing, Permits/Licenses/Approvals and Agreements (PLAA) related items, dispute resolution, claims)
Issues and Risk Management, including internal and external escalation where required
Lead and/or support the development of materials, such as reports, briefing notes, requests for proposals, presentations, data analyses and communications
Work closely with Project Control Office, to ensure seamless coordination of materials requiring governance reviews and approvals
Participate in the creation and delivery of innovative presentations and proposals to all levels of the organization, including senior management, Board of Directors and external audiences.
Engage with external project supports and act as a key point of contact for coordination of activities
Develop, implement and monitor internal processes to meet project deliverable and contractual requirements
Ensure ongoing integrated risk identification, evaluation, and monitoring, particularly as related to integration and change management
Other duties assigned, as required to meet timelines and deliverables
Skills & Qualifications
Undergraduate degree; finance/business, architecture, engineering or related discipline preferred
Minimum 7+ years of experience in project management in healthcare environments such as hospitals, government or private sector required
Experience working with the Ontario Ministry of Health's capital planning process and/or Infrastructure Ontario's AFP/P3 framework is considered an asset
Strong understanding of the hospital's strategic plan
Strong leadership, adaptability, interpersonal and collaboration skills are essential for this role, including the ability to build and maintain strong relationships
Experience with project management processes and best practices
Excellent organizational, time management and project management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
Competency in using Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel and Word, Bluebeam.

- Superior analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Demonstrated ability to anticipate needs of senior leaders
- Demonstrated effectiveness at leading and working with teams, including supporting collaborative design of products with cross-functional groups
- Demonstrated ability to develop effective and comprehensive reports and presentations for various audiences, including executives, administrators and clinicians
- This position is a hybrid work model with a mix of work from home and on-site work (and/or work at off-site partner locations). Four (4) days on site and one (1) day working from home.
