What is the opportunity?
The Third Party & SaaS Solutions team is on a journey to mature our Enterprise practices across Third Party Software management. Reporting to the Senior Director, SaaS Solutions, the Director will lead a transformative, global third-party software portfolio management function that drives cost optimization, risk mitigation, and strategic alignment of software assets with business objectives. This role will champion governance, innovation, and operational excellence across a complex, distributed IT landscape.
What will you do?
Design and implement a global third-party software management framework aligned with enterprise goals, including policies, standards, and compliance requirements.
Chair the Third-Party Software Governance Council, fostering cross-functional collaboration among IT, Procurement, Legal, Finance, and Business Units.
Develop a federated governance model to balance global standardization with regional flexibility.
Lead the rationalization of the third-party software portfolio to eliminate redundancy, reduce costs, and consolidate vendors.
Oversee Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis and benchmarking to identify savings opportunities.
Partner with Procurement and Engagement Owners to help negotiate enterprise-wide licensing agreements and pricing models aligned to new management strategy.
Recommend tools and technology to enhance the existing processes and data.
Deploy and oversee enterprise-grade tools for software asset discovery, inventory, and usage tracking.
Drive process automation to reduce manual effort by 40–60%.
Build strong relationships with regional IT leaders to ensure global-local alignment and adoption of standards.
Develop training and awareness programs to upskill teams on tools, processes, and best practices.
Monitor industry trends (e.g., cloud-native tools, AI-driven ITAM) and pilot innovative solutions.
Conduct quarterly business reviews to refine strategies and address emerging challenges.
Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making using analytics and AI insights.
What do you need to succeed?
Must have:
University degree or equivalent experience in IT Software optimization/Architecture practices
10+ years in Enterprise IT Leadership, with proven success in global transformations.
Strong Data management skills and knowledge of technology
Experience with Third Party IT Commercial agreements
Excellent communication, business writing skills, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
Strategic mindset and ability to synthesize information to frame messages effectively for the executives.
Deep expertise / thought leadership with respect to business optimization and benefit measurement.
Nice-to-have :
Strong understanding of RBC Third Party risk practices
