Front Line Defender - Border Protection Career

Border Patrol Agents work to protect the American people by safeguarding our borders, deterring illicit activity, and enhancing the nation's economic prosperity. As part of this team, you will be a valuable member of the Federal Law Enforcement Officer (LEO) profession.

• Detect and question individuals suspected of violating immigration and customs laws
• Inspect documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations
• Prevent and apprehend undocumented noncitizens and smugglers at or near borders using surveillance techniques

You will be responsible for maintaining composure in stressful situations while gathering concise information through questioning, observation, and examination of documents. You may also conduct farm checks, building checks, traffic checks, city patrols,
and transportation checks as part of your duties.

Experience:
• One year of general work experience demonstrating ability to take charge,
maintain sound decisions under stress , learn regulations through classroom training,
among others OR  a bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university.
•​ For GL-7 level:
One year specialized experience showing skills necessary for dealing with law enforcement matters effectively.
