Are you a kind, patient, and committed individual? We’re on the lookout for Support Workers to join our small, friendly team in Whitfield, Dover, supporting a wonderful man in his new home.
This inspiring individual has autism and epilepsy, and while he may sometimes display challenging behaviors, he is also full of fun and enjoys engaging with those who genuinely care. He loves relaxing with a massage while watching TV, and sensory play is a big part of his life.
Your role will involve supporting him with everyday activities, from healthy eating and emotional support to learning new skills. He enjoys long countryside walks, visiting parks, dining out, and unwinding with music. Building a strong rapport with him is essential, as he communicates authentically and values your presence.
Shift Patterns
This is a 24-hour service, so flexibility is key! You’ll be working a variety of shifts, including nights and weekends.
Role Responsibility
Your Daily Adventures Await!
In this hands-on role, no two days will be the same! You’ll help him live life to the fullest, both at home and in the community. Your day might include:
- Preparing delicious meals together
- Keeping his home clean and comfortable
- Planning fun activities and outings
- Enjoying long walks in the countryside
You’ll promote his independence, assist with personal care and medication, and ensure his safety at all times. Accurate record-keeping is also vital to maintain high standards of care.

We’re seeking a support worker with the right attitude, who can collaborate with his friends, family, and wider support team. Being a team player is vital, but you should also be comfortable working independently when needed.
