About Us

At Fosterplus, we have been making a difference since 1996, bringing nearly 30 years of experience as an independent fostering agency. Our mission is simple yet profound: to provide positive and stable family environments for the children and young people placed with our carers, ensuring they thrive emotionally and academically.

Many of the children we care for have faced disrupted childhoods, and we are dedicated to breaking this cycle. By carefully matching foster parents with children and providing unwavering support, we create a nurturing environment where everyone can flourish.

What We’re Looking For

We are on the hunt for a qualified and experienced Social Worker who is enthusiastic, committed, and values the vital role of foster parents. Your collaborative approach will be key in promoting meaningful supervision of placements.

This role is demanding yet rewarding, encompassing quality assurance and training for both prospective and current foster parents. You will need to be an excellent report writer and adept at meeting strict deadlines.

Requirements
  • Hold a Social Care England recognized qualification in Social Work or equivalent
  • Previous experience in children and families social work
  • A comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation pertaining to children's services
  • Good IT skills
  • Flexibility in working patterns and travel
Your Responsibilities
  • Provide direct support to foster parents with a manageable caseload for effective supervision
  • Conduct regular supervision sessions, enabling and monitoring foster parents' practices to ensure compliance with regulatory standards
  • Collaborate with children, young people, foster parents, and other professionals to facilitate participation in assessments, planning, and decision-making related to safeguarding and child protection

The successful candidate will need to complete an enhanced DBS Check, with costs covered by Fosterplus.

Fosterplus is an equal opportunities employer and actively encourages applications from qualified candidates. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults, and expect all staff to share this commitment.
