Basic Salary: £28,938.13 per annum (dependent upon experience)

Your Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Full-Time Supervising Social Worker to join our inspirational and friendly team. You will play a crucial role in developing and promoting our fostering services in the North West.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Support foster parents and their families to achieve outstanding outcomes for all children and young people in foster care.
  • Monitor the suitability and competence of foster parents, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Ensure foster carers understand their roles, competencies, and the standards expected of them.
  • Provide regular supervision to allocated foster parents in line with FCA's Operational Standards.
  • Collaborate with the child's network to identify needs and provide support.
  • Ensure compliance with all key documentation for children and foster parents.
  • Attend meetings and provide reports for Commissioning Teams regarding care packages.
  • Promote the participation of children/young people in agency development and community resources.
  • Participate in an 'out of hours' support service on a rota basis.
  • Conduct occasional initial home visits and Form F Assessments.
What You Need:
  • A Social Work qualification
  • Professional registration with Social Work England or equivalent
  • Proven ability to produce high-quality reports
  • Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation and child safeguarding procedures
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively (including occasional nights away)
  • Confidence in transporting children and young people in challenging situations
  • Full driving licence
