Salary: Up to £39,000 (dependent on experience)

Contract Term: 12 Month Fixed Term Maternity Cover

Hours: 37 hours per week

The Role

We are on the lookout for a qualified and experienced Social Worker who is enthusiastic and committed to the fostering journey. Your role will involve:

  • Collaborating with foster parents to ensure meaningful supervision of placements.
  • Maintaining high standards through quality assurance and training for foster parents.
  • Recruiting, training, and supervising foster parents while promoting the welfare of children.
Requirements
  • Hold a Social Work England qualification or equivalent, and be registered with Social Work England.
  • Experience in fostering.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of fostering regulations, child care law, and safeguarding legislation.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Commitment to high-quality practice, including occasional evening and weekend work.
  • Participation in an Out of Hours rota for the Northwest region.
  • Good IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and databases.
Your Responsibilities
  • Provide direct support to foster parents with a manageable caseload for effective supervision.
  • Conduct regular supervision sessions, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with children, young people, foster parents, and other professionals in decision-making processes.
  • Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check (cost covered by Orange Grove Fostercare).
