Key Responsibilities:

• Enforce customs, immigration and agriculture laws while facilitating legitimate trade and travel.


• Inspect individuals and conveyances to determine admissibility for entry into the United States.


• Prevent the illegal entry of individuals and prohibited goods as well as smuggle illicit drugs and contraband.

A typical day involves enforcing laws relating to importing/exporting merchandise from/to the US; this includes detaining/suspected violators using proper law enforcement methods. Rapid judgments are essential when making decisions regarding regulations/enforcement/ administration of persons entering/residing/departing US territories.
