**Protect America's Interests as a Customs and Border Protection Officer**
Job Description:
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security is seeking highly skilled individuals to join our team as Customs and Border Protection Officers (CBPOs). As a CBPO, you will play a critical role in safeguarding the nation's borders, preventing illicit activity, and facilitating legitimate trade and travel.
As part of our elite law enforcement agency, you will have the opportunity to work with experienced professionals who share your passion for serving their country. You'll be responsible for enforcing customs, immigration, and agriculture laws; inspecting cargo/bags/merchandise; conducting interviews with suspected violators; making rapid judgments regarding import/export regulations; and more.
This position requires strong communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues from diverse backgrounds. Previous experience working in high-pressure environments or positions involving regulated activities may be beneficial but are not required. Physical stamina is also necessary due to frequent fieldwork at various locations including airports ports seaports crossing points along US Mexico border etc.. Successful candidates must hold valid driver licenses passport health certificates depending upon specific job requirements document translation certifications clearance authorizations needed by assigned location see bulletin appendix one.
