Protect America's Borders with a Career as a Border Patrol Agent

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is seeking highly motivated individuals to join our team of law enforcement professionals as Border Patrol Agents . As a BPA, you will play a critical role in safeguarding America's borders, preventing illicit activity, and enhancing the nation's economic prosperity.

• As a BPA, your primary responsibility will be to detect and question people suspected of violating immigration laws and inspect documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations.


• You will also prevent and apprehend undocumented noncitizens at or near the borders by maintaining surveillance from covert positions.


• In addition, you will interpret tracks, marks, and other physical evidence of illegal entry of persons or contraband.


• Your duties may include performing farm checks, building checks, traffic checks city patrols transportation checks patrolling international boundaries coastal waterways using government assets vehicles horses vessels off-road ATVs snowmobiles motorcycles accomplishing USBP Mission tasks.
  The ideal candidate for this position should possess excellent communication skills written English spoken Spanish fluency minimum high school diploma five years prior work experience 18 months training.
