At Coinbase, Data Science plays a vital role in our product development and decision-making processes. Collaborating closely with Product, Engineering, and Design teams, our insights directly influence our strategic direction and enhance user experiences. Your expertise in experimentation, analytics, and advanced modeling will drive significant results. As a Mid-Level Data Scientist in the consumer organization, you will utilize your skills to enhance the customer journey across a variety of Coinbase consumer products, including spot and advanced trading, yield, Coinbase One (CB1), international expansion, and new launches like prediction markets and equities trading. You will establish and monitor key metrics, develop measurement frameworks, and transform insights into actionable product strategies and improvements. Key Responsibilities: Conduct analyses on products to provide strategic recommendations and respond to critical questions.
Design and oversee experiments and analyses to assess impact and facilitate product enhancements.
Develop and uphold crucial metrics and reports, improving data infrastructure for more insightful analysis.
What We Are Looking For: A minimum of a BA/BS in a quantitative field such as Math, Stats, Physics, or Computer Science, accompanied by 2+ years of relevant experience.
Demonstrated experience in driving impact for a digital product with an iterative development approach.
Strong understanding of statistical methodologies and practical experience in applying them (e.g., A/B testing, causal inference, machine learning, etc.).
Proficient in data analyses using SQL.
Experienced with programming and modeling in Python.

Depending on your work location, the target annual
base salary
for this position ranges from $152,405 to $179,300 USD. Full-time offers from Coinbase also include eligibility for bonuses, equity, and benefits such as medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).
