*Job Overview*
*Kenwood Plaza* is seeking a compassionate and dedicated *Certified Medication Aide *to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing quality care to our residents, ensuring they receive their medications safely and effectively. This position requires a strong understanding of caregiving principles, particularly in senior care settings, and the ability to work collaboratively with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals.
*Responsibilities*
* Administer medications to residents according to prescribed schedules and protocols.
* Maintain accurate medical documentation for all administered medications.
* Assist with tube feeding and other specialized care as needed.
* Monitor residents for any side effects or adverse reactions to medications.
* Communicate effectively with nursing staff regarding residents' health status and medication needs.
* Provide support in daily living activities, ensuring the comfort and safety of residents.
* Uphold the highest standards of hygiene and safety in all caregiving practices.
* Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
*Qualifications*
* *Certification as a Medication Aide or equivalent training is required.*
* Previous experience in caregiving or senior care is preferred.
* Knowledge of physiology and medical terminology is beneficial.
* Familiarity with electronic health record systems such as Epic is a plus.
* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills for accurate medication administration.
* Ability to work compassionately with elderly individuals, demonstrating patience and empathy.
* Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and team members.
