Seeking skilled Forklift Operators in Columbus, Ohio! If you have a proven track record of safely and efficiently operating forklifts, we want to hear from you. This role is vital to our warehouse operations, ensuring the smooth movement of goods. You will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks, moving materials within the facility, and assisting with inventory management. A strong commitment to safety, excellent maneuvering skills, and reliability are essential for success in this logistics position. Your expertise will help maintain our operational flow and productivity.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, electric) to move, stack, and organize materials.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments safely and efficiently.
- Transport materials to and from various warehouse locations.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and stock put-away.
- Inspect forklift equipment before and after each shift, reporting any issues.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies, including strict adherence to PPE requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Ensure the safe stacking and handling of goods to prevent damage.
- Support the broader logistics team with other warehouse duties as needed.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring significant Lifting.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of forklift operating experience in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety regulations and procedures.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliable with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
