We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to lead our dynamic team in Indianapolis, Indiana. As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to all safety protocols. This position demands strong leadership qualities, excellent organizational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving within a fast-paced logistics environment. You will be responsible for managing a team of warehouse associates, coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, maintaining inventory accuracy, and optimizing warehouse layout and processes.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and train warehouse staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Ensure efficient and accurate processing of all incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Manage inventory levels, conduct regular cycle counts, and resolve discrepancies.
- Implement and enforce all safety regulations and company policies, ensuring a safe workplace for all employees.
- Operate and maintain warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Coordinate with other departments, such as procurement and transportation, to ensure smooth logistics flow.
- Monitor performance metrics and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
- Handle employee scheduling, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse facility.
- Uphold strict adherence to PPE requirements at all times.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a warehouse supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and WMS systems.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education is a plus.
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
