We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Picker/Packer to join our dynamic logistics team in Kansas City, Missouri. As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for accurately selecting and preparing customer orders for shipment, ensuring efficiency and quality in every task. This role is crucial to our operations, directly impacting customer satisfaction. You will work in a fast-paced warehouse environment, utilizing RF scanners and other equipment to locate and retrieve items from shelves. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential. We emphasize a strong commitment to safety and expect all team members to adhere to all safety protocols. This position requires physical stamina and attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves using order pick lists or RF scanners.
- Pack items securely and efficiently into appropriate shipping containers.
- Verify order accuracy before packing and shipping.
- Label packages correctly for shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and warehouse area.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, especially those related to safety and security.
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks as needed.
- Report any discrepancies or issues to a supervisor immediately.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or picking/packing role is a plus.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet performance targets.
- Must be able to perform lifting up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Comfortable working in a warehouse setting, which may involve varying temperatures.
- Willingness to wear required PPE, including safety shoes and vests.
- Knowledge of basic warehouse operations and logistics is beneficial.
