We are looking for an experienced Material Handler to join our operations in Omaha, Nebraska. This role is essential for the smooth functioning of our warehouse, ensuring that materials are moved efficiently and safely throughout the facility. You will operate various types of material handling equipment, manage inventory locations, and support both production and shipping departments. A strong focus on Safety is required, including strict adherence to all safety regulations and the consistent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE ). This position requires significant physical capability, including regular Lifting of heavy items, often exceeding 50 pounds. If you have a background in warehouse operations and a proven ability to handle industrial equipment within the Logistics sector, we want to hear from you. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment proficiently and safely.
- Transport raw materials, components, and finished goods between different areas of the facility.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Assist with inventory counts and maintain accurate records of material movement.
- Ensure that all materials are stored correctly and safely.
- Follow all company Safety policies and procedures meticulously.
- Wear and maintain all mandated PPE , such as steel-toed boots, gloves, and safety glasses.
- Support production schedules by ensuring timely material delivery.
- Contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of our Logistics network.
- Perform physical tasks, including substantial Lifting and moving of heavy items.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Report any equipment issues or safety hazards immediately.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certified forklift operator with relevant experience.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Ability to perform strenuous physical tasks, including frequent Lifting up to 75 pounds.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and Logistics principles.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace Safety and the correct use of PPE .
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
