We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Material Handler to join our dynamic warehouse team in Austin, Texas. This role is crucial to our daily operations, ensuring the efficient movement and organization of materials throughout the facility. The Material Handler will be responsible for receiving, storing, picking, and staging goods, preparing them for shipment or further processing. This position requires a strong commitment to safety , attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will be part of a growing team that values teamwork, reliability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving within the logistics sector.
Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and other conveyances.
- Identify, sort, and move materials to designated storage areas, ensuring proper placement and organization.
- Operate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks as needed to transport materials.
- Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory management tasks.
- Prepare materials for shipment, ensuring accuracy and proper packaging.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all housekeeping standards.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE .
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is preferred.
- Ability to perform strenuous physical activity, including frequent Lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment and safety protocols.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
