Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic logistics team in Washington, D.C. This role is crucial for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory management, including cycle counting, stocktaking, discrepancy investigation, and implementing improvements to inventory control processes. Your keen eye for detail and proactive approach will ensure that our stock levels are precise, minimizing losses and optimizing warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and a commitment to best practices in inventory control. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced environment and play a key role in the efficiency of our supply chain. You will collaborate with various departments, including receiving, shipping, and operations, to ensure seamless inventory flow. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular audits, analyzing inventory data, reporting on stock accuracy, and developing strategies to prevent shrinkage. We expect candidates to be proficient in using inventory management software and possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Prior experience in inventory management or a related field is highly desirable. This position requires adherence to strict safety protocols and the proper use of PPE . Some Lifting may be required as part of the duties. This role is fundamental to our overall logistics and operational success.
