We are seeking a reliable and efficient Order Picker to join our busy logistics facility in Fort Worth, Texas. This role is essential for ensuring that customer orders are accurately and quickly fulfilled, directly impacting customer satisfaction and the overall success of our supply chain operations. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for locating and retrieving specified items from warehouse shelves according to order tickets or using RF scanning technology. Accuracy in selecting the correct products and quantities is crucial. You will handle merchandise with care to prevent damage and prepare picked items for the next stage of the fulfillment process, which may involve packing or staging for shipment. Safety is our utmost priority, and all team members must strictly adhere to established safety protocols and wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times. This is a physically active role that requires standing, walking, and frequent lifting of items. While previous experience as an Order Picker or in a similar warehouse role is beneficial, we are committed to training motivated individuals with a strong work ethic and a desire to grow within the logistics field. You will work as part of a dedicated team, collaborating to meet daily picking targets and maintain high levels of accuracy. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse locations based on order requirements.
- Utilize RF scanners or pick lists to locate and retrieve items efficiently.
- Verify product codes and quantities for each order to ensure precision.
- Handle merchandise carefully to prevent any damage or loss.
- Stage picked items correctly for subsequent processing, such as packing.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Strictly follow all safety guidelines and wear required PPE.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and stock checks as needed.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to achieve daily picking goals.
- Operate manual warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks.
- Report any discrepancies, damages, or safety concerns immediately.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and productivity of the distribution center.
- Follow all established operational procedures for order picking and material handling.
