Become a vital part of our San Antonio, Texas distribution center as an Order Picker! This role is essential for ensuring that customer orders are fulfilled accurately and efficiently, contributing directly to customer satisfaction and the smooth flow of our logistics operations. As an Order Picker, your primary responsibilities will include accurately locating and retrieving products from warehouse shelves based on order tickets or RF scanner data. You will be expected to carefully handle merchandise, ensure correct quantities are picked, and prepare items for the next stage of the fulfillment process, which may include packing or staging. A strong emphasis on safety is a core value, and all team members must strictly follow safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This physically demanding role requires the ability to stand for extended periods, walk throughout the warehouse, and perform frequent lifting of items. While prior experience in a warehouse or order picking role is beneficial, we are committed to training motivated individuals with a strong work ethic and a desire to succeed in the logistics field. You will work as part of a dedicated team, collaborating to meet daily picking targets and maintain high levels of accuracy. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves according to order specifications.
- Utilize RF scanners or pick lists to locate items efficiently.
- Verify product codes and quantities to ensure accuracy.
- Handle merchandise with care to prevent damage.
- Stage picked items for packing or shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and wear required PPE.
- Participate in inventory counts as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily order fulfillment goals.
- Operate manual pallet jacks or other warehouse equipment as required.
- Report any discrepancies or damages immediately to a supervisor.
- Contribute to a positive and efficient warehouse environment.
- Follow all established procedures for order picking and material handling.
