We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Order Picker to join our dynamic warehouse team in Chicago, Illinois. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately and efficiently picking customer orders from warehouse shelves and preparing them for shipment. This role is crucial to our logistics operations, ensuring timely and correct order fulfillment. You will work in a fast-paced environment, utilizing RF scanners to locate and retrieve items. Attention to detail is paramount to minimize errors and maintain inventory accuracy. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from designated warehouse locations using pick lists or RF scanners.
- Ensure all picked items are correctly identified and quantity is verified.
- Stage picked orders for packing or further processing.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Report any damaged goods or discrepancies to a supervisor immediately.
- Meet or exceed productivity and quality standards.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, including stocking and cycle counts.
- Previous warehouse or order picking experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to read and understand pick lists and instructions.
- Basic math skills for quantity verification.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and squat for extended periods.
- Must be able to perform moderate Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Commitment to Safety in the workplace is essential.
