We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our logistics team in Denver, Colorado. In this role, you will be responsible for processing outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy in documentation, preparing shipments for transport, and coordinating with carriers. Your meticulous approach will be crucial to maintaining the efficiency and integrity of our shipping operations, a key component of our overall logistics strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process all outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy in order fulfillment and documentation.
- Verify shipping information, generate shipping labels, and complete necessary paperwork.
- Coordinate with freight carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
- Inspect outgoing shipments for proper packaging and labeling.
- Maintain organized and accessible shipping records.
- Operate pallet jacks and assist with loading/unloading as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and company policies.
- Adhere to all Safety guidelines, including the proper use of PPE.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments and external partners regarding shipping status.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the logistics department.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a related shipping/logistics role.
- Proficiency in shipping software and carrier platforms is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of shipping procedures, documentation, and logistics processes.
- Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting, typically up to 30 pounds.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety standards and the importance of PPE.
- Proficient in using computers, scanners, and basic office equipment.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to maintaining accuracy and ensuring on-time shipments.
