We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Jacksonville, Florida. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. This role is crucial to our warehouse operations, ensuring the efficient and safe handling of goods. You will work closely with other warehouse staff to maintain a smooth workflow and contribute to overall productivity. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of warehouse procedures and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment. Attention to detail is paramount in this position to prevent damage to products and equipment. You will be expected to perform routine checks on the forklift to ensure it is in good working order before and after each shift. Adherence to all company policies and safety regulations is a strict requirement. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to load, unload, and move materials.
- Transport raw materials, finished goods, and equipment within the warehouse.
- Perform daily inspections of forklifts and report any issues.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory control and cycle counts as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals.
- Understand and adhere to all lifting requirements and safe lifting practices.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong commitment to safety and the use of PPE.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
